The Federal Government has made adoption of electronic health record software (EHRs) by medical providers a top priority. The Office of the National Coordinator has published rules for the Meaningful Use of EHR information in patient care through a variety of “connected e- health” initiatives. The goal is to reduce medication errors, reduce redundant tests, enhance wellness, improve chronic disease management and facilitate the creation of health records that are appropriately accessible by the patient. (Adoption of EHR systems will also reduce provider billing costs now associated with paper charts and superbills. )

1. Phone conference to plan our engagement with you.

2. Half day on-site visit to observe:

• your office workflow, practice style, and office culture.
• the physical arrangement of your office including computer and communications
  infrastructure challenges if any
• your communications interaction with your referral networks and hospitals
• whether you can leverage your existing hardware and software to reduce costs.
• your staff computers skills and readiness for EHR use

3. During the on-site visit we will also gather the information needed to complete the WIRECS Meaningful Use certification application.

4. At the end of the on-site visit, the reviewers will engage in a 30 to 45 minute conference with the medical staff re hopes and concerns with respect to adopting EHR technology and an informal summary of the reviewers findings.

5. Within 14 days, after the onsite visit delivery of a written summary of findings and recommendations with respect to EHR vendor products most likely to fit your needs and requirements together with total installed cost estimates over and above the cost to the EHR vendor. We will direct you to information and demo websites and to vendor sales representatives who can give you further information.

6. Within 10 days thereafter, a phone conference call to discuss the summary of findings and recommendations.

7. Completion of your WIRECs application and transmittal to you for signature and filing.
Total Price $1200. Half payable to reserve your place on the team calendar. The balance payable when the complete WIRECS application is delivered to you for your signature.
